Summary 

The YA Resident will be responsible for assisting in successfully implementing the YA Ministry (18-29) strategy. This involves engaging Young Adults in NE Houston in order to connect them in a relationship with Jesus, with a local church, and with God’s mission.

The YA Resident will report to the Groups Pastor and/or Young Adults Minister who will act as a coach in your development process, provided you with training, practical experience, and continual feedback for improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will primarily be, but not limited to, providing support to the Young Adults Minister in these core responsibilities:

1. Planning and executing college engagement, outreach, discipleship, and community
2. Ensure follow-up, continued connections, and back-end follow-through with young adults
3. Discipling college students and young adults
4. Assist with assimilating young adults into United City Church
5. Meeting with YA Leaders for ongoing pastoral care and development
6. Discover, develop, and deploy emerging YA Leaders
7. Create pathways and processes to onboard serve team
8. Attend all required events and activities for United City, including all services, staff meetings, prayer meetings, special events, and staff development days.
