It’s always a fun time in the Kid’s Ministry

UC Kids is crossing every divide to raise a generation of children to know and walk in relationship with Jesus.

Our hope is that during these years, children will be encouraged to love the Lord and others and learn to live out their Christian faith.

We are more than childcare. UC Kids provides a safe, clean and loving environment where children are consistently taught about Jesus every time they come to church.  Our groups are intentionally designed with interactive worship and teaching, so God’s Word comes alive for children.

With groups for Kindergarten through 5th grade as well as a safe and comforting environment for children with special needs, we have something for everyone!

Our UC Serve Team is passionate about helping every child feel welcome, accepted, and loved. All Serve Team members and teachers have undergone a thorough screening process of interviews, background checks and training through MinistrySafe to ensure every child has a safe and wonderful experience each week.

Sunday Experience

UC Kids believes in equipping parents to teach their kids. Each week our lessons are available for parents to use with their kids.

When is UC Kids available?

UC Kids is offered during our 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.

Awana Clubs are offered on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8pm.

Where should I park?

Parking lot signage will direct you where to park according to the first letter of your last name. Upon entering the atrium, a Serve Team member will direct you to our Kid’s check-in desk where we will register your children, provide security stickers, and a Serve Team member will guide your family to your child’s age-specific classroom.

What is the security/check-in procedure?

If you are a first-time guest, a Serve Team member will walk you to the check-in desk to register your children. Security stickers with matching numbers will be provided for every parent and child. These tags are required for picking up your child. Check-in begins at 9:15 for our 9:30 a.m. service and 10:30 for our 11 a.m. service. Our UC security team as well as law-enforcement officers are on-site to help ensure your child’s safety.

Will my children be able to be in the same group?

For the safety of all, we place children in groups by their birthday or school grade, so your children may not be able to be in the same room.

What is the UC Kids well-child policy?

To minimize the chance of spreading illness, children who show signs of sickness will not be accepted into the classroom environment. We require that children be fever-free for 24 hours for the health and protection of all children and Serve Team members.  If a child becomes ill or displays symptoms while in the classroom, a member of our Serve Team will contact you.

Upon recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should remain home with any of the following conditions:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea (even if associated with teething or medication)
  • Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, or any other contagious or infectious disease
  • Common cold from onset through one week
  • Sore throat
  • Croup
  • Junky or barky cough, phlegm-filled or productive cough
  • Any contagious or unexplained rash
  • Pink eye or other eye infections
  • Cloudy or green runny noses or persistent cough
  • Any communicable disease
How do I serve in UC Kids?
