Groups Ministry
The Groups Resident will be responsible for assisting in successfully implementing the Groups Ministry strategy at United City Church. The Groups Ministry exists to assist in the spiritual formation and progress of believers in the context of biblical community. This involves leadership, training, and oversight of adult Groups at United City Church. The Groups Ministry includes Life Groups, Seasonal Groups, and ministries dedicated to Men, Women, and Marriages. The Groups Resident will report to the Groups Pastor who will act as a coach in the development process providing training, practical experience, and continual feedback for improvement. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Guest Experiences
The GXP Resident will be responsible for successfully implementing the Guest Experiences strategy and furthering the mission of United City Church. The Guest Experience team exists to help anyone who enters UC find a place to connect and invites them to take their next step. This involves overseeing and fostering a culture of hosting that creates a welcoming and engaging environment for guests and members. The GXP Resident will be creative and proactive in connecting with people and developing methods to integrate them into the life of the church.
Missions
The Missions resident will be part of forwarding the mission of United City Church for everyone, every day to cross every divide to live united in Christ. They must be passionate about sharing the gospel as they will be responsible for promoting, recruiting, and training church members to serve locally, nationally and globally. They will be trained and educated on connecting with outside missions partners, planning and execution of trips and managing details around local missions partners such as pregnancy centers, prisons and other community partners. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Español Ministry
The Español Resident will assist in furthering the vision and mission of United City Church for everyone, every day to cross every divide to live united in Christ. They will work with the Español Ministry team to engage, connect and disciple the Hispanic community to take their next step in their walk with Christ. The resident will receive hands-on experience in a close community of authentic, caring, and engaging ministry leaders. The goal is to deepen your love for Christ and give you a vision of, and experience in, a healthy local church. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Young Adults
The YA Resident will be responsible for successfully implementing the YA Ministry (ages 18-29) strategy at United City Church. This involves engaging Young Adults in NE Houston and connecting them to a relationship with Jesus, a local church, and with God’s mission. They will experience connecting in the community, leading large and small groups, as well as planning and executing events. The YA Resident will report to the Groups Pastor and/or Young Adults Minister who will act as a coach in the development process providing training, practical experience, and continual feedback for improvement. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Student Ministry
At UCY, it is our mission to help students “Find Life in Jesus and Bring Life to everyone around them”. A Youth Ministry Resident at United City is responsible for furthering the mission and vision of UCY by partnering with parents, discipling students and developing leaders. Residents should be passionate about creating and implementing engaging programs and systems that promote personal growth and community involvement within the youth ministry context. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City. Residents will work alongside the UC Youth team and contribute to planning and strategy by brainstorming, coordinating and executing experiences, as well as being actively involved all activities.
Girl's Ministry
Middle and High School girls have unique needs that require organized, intentional, and relational connection. The primary responsibility of the Girl’s Ministry Resident is to assist in overseeing and fostering the health of the girl’s ministry at United City Church while forwarding the mission to “Find Life in Jesus and Bring Life to everyone around them”. They will receive experience in creatively and successfully reaching, engaging, and serving the needs of middle and high school-aged girls. They will partner with the girl’s minister to constantly evaluate the health of individual girls, small groups, leaders, and events. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Kid's Ministry
A Kid’s Ministry Resident at United City Church will work closely with the Kids Team to support our ministry’s mission of engaging families, reaching kids, and facilitating life change. UCKids ministry will provide a foundation for many areas of church leadership as the resident will be involved in all aspects of the church at work. They will assist in planning and executing details such as security, check-in, large and small group teaching, worship, audio-visual and recruiting and training serve team. They will also successfully build relationships with kids, parents and serve team. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Pre-K
A Preschool Ministry Resident at United City Church will work closely with the Preschool Team to support our mission of engaging families, reaching kids, and facilitating life change. UCPreschool ministry will provide a foundation for many areas of church leadership as the resident will be involved in all aspects of the church at work. They will assist in planning and executing details such as security, check-in, large and small group teaching, worship, audio-visual, recruiting and training serve team. They will also successfully build relationships with kids, parents, and serve team. Residents will be developed personally and professionally through service and unique ministry opportunities at United City.
Worship
The Worship Resident helps forward the mission of United City Church and the worship culture of UCCreative. They work alongside the Worship Pastor to create environments for people to encounter Jesus. They will manage worship resources and learn to develop people in their creative giftings as well as their spiritual health. They will be involved with scheduling musicians, collaborating with the music director, editing worship sets, planning for events and will assist in overseeing sermon series design and social media planning.
Production
The Production Resident helps forward the mission of United City Church and the culture of UCCreative. They work alongside the Production Manager to create environments for people to encounter Jesus. They will manage production resources, and coordinate with the production team. They will develop and lead serve team members as well as work on lighting design, video set up and audio engineering for the in-room and online experience for both Sundays and events.
Marketing
The Marketing Resident helps forward the mission of United City Church and the culture of UCCreative. They work with the UC Communications Department to coordinate and develop serve team, manage ads, track analytics and communicate with the graphic design team. They will receive experience and training in social media management, focusing on creating, curating, and coordinating digital content to enhance the church’s online presence.
