United City Loves Preschoolers
We are crossing every divide to raise a generation of children to know and walk in relationship with Jesus.
We are more than childcare. With classes uniquely designed for interactive worship and teaching, lessons come alive for even the tiniest of babies as Scripture is prayed over them.
Children are assigned to a room based on either age or stage of development and will be welcomed by loving teachers. All classes include an age-appropriate story with a main idea, Bible verse, and fun activities to begin building a foundation on God’s Word.
Our UC Serve Team is passionate about helping every child feel welcome, accepted, and loved. All Serve Team members and teachers have undergone a thorough screening process of interviews, background checks and training through MinistrySafe to ensure every child has a safe and wonderful experience each week.
We are privileged to partner with you to build on the basic truths about who Jesus is and His love for us.
UC Preschool believes in equipping parents to teach their kids. Each week our lessons are available for parents to use with their preschoolers.
When is UC Preschool available?
UC Preschool is offered during our 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.
Awana Clubs are offered on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8pm.
Where should I park?
Parking lot signage will direct you where to park according to the first letter of your last name. Upon entering the atrium, a Serve Team member will direct you to our Kid’s check-in desk where we will register your children, provide security stickers, and a Serve Team member will guide your family to your child’s age-specific classroom.
What is the security/check-in procedure?
If you are a first-time guest, a Serve Team member will walk you to the check-in desk to register your children. Security stickers with matching numbers will be provided for every parent and child. These tags are required for picking up your child. Check-in begins at 9:15 for our 9:30 a.m. service and 10:30 for our 11 a.m. service. Our UC security team as well as law-enforcement officers are on-site to help ensure your child’s safety.
Will my children be able to be in the same class?
For the safety of all, we place children in groups by their birthday or school grade, so your children may not be able to be in the same room.
When is my child promoted to the next class?
Children 6 weeks up to 2 years old are promoted developmentally. Children ages 2 to 5 are promoted annually in the fall.
What is the UC Preschool well-child policy?
To minimize the chance of spreading illness, children who show signs of sickness will not be accepted into the classroom environment. We require that children be fever-free for 24 hours for the health and protection of all children and Serve Team members. If a child becomes ill or displays symptoms while in the classroom, a member of our Serve Team will contact you.
Upon recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should remain home with any of the following conditions:
- Diarrhea (even if associated with teething or medication)
- Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, or any other contagious or infectious disease
- Common cold from onset through one week
- Sore throat
- Junky or barky cough, phlegm-filled or productive cough
- Any contagious or unexplained rash
- Pink eye or other eye infections
- Cloudy or green runny noses or persistent cough
- Any communicable disease
